Brand New Playing Kit For Academy Team

Fettes College sponsor our rugby jerseys

It’s a new look for a new Connect Academy era, as our youngsters pull on a brand new rugby kit this week.

Our senior Academy team will wear a black strip with markings in our traditional red, gold and blue colours.

We’re doing this thanks to the support of our friends at Fettes College in Scotland, whose logo takes pride of place on our jerseys.

It does so alongside that of Edwin Doran Sports Tours, who have supported our work with young people in Cape Town for several years.

We’re building up to the big kick off for our 2023 rugby tour fixtures, starting with an historic contest against England’s Rugby School, marking 200 years since the invention of the sport.

Uber Eats also joined as fixture partners this week, helping us to provide access to sport for more young people than ever before.

We are proud to have been working with Edwin Doran Sports Tours, one of the leading operators of school and club trips to South Africa, since 2016.

Our Connect Academy mission is to provide access to resources and opportunities through sport to those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The chance to play multiple touring fixtures every year in rugby and netball helps us to do exactly that for our young people, who thrive on meeting their peers from across the globe.

Donations made by many of the touring schools, meanwhile, form a vital part of our income as a non-profit company and we have been blown away by the support we have received over the years.
